Life description of Carlos Castaneda
Carlos Castaneda was born in Peru, and emigrated to the United States in his 20s.
While studying Anthropology, Castaneda wrote his three first books.
He graduated in Anthropology (B.A. in 1962, Ph. D. = Doctor of Philosophy in 1973) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
He introduced an ancient Indian movement theory: ‘Tensegrity’ .

New Age
Castaneda has been called ‘The Godfather of the New Age’; his books are the most important ‘New Age’ publications.
He was the literary component of the Woodstock period.

Tensegrity
Castaneda also introduced a 25-generation-old Toltec movement doctrine called ‘Tensegrity’ .
Tensegrity is the modern name for the ‘Magical Passes’ , which were rediscovered and introduced by Castaneda.
‘Magical Passes’ are positions and movements of the body and of the breath.
These ‘Magical Passes’ were used by the Toltec Shamans.
The Indian shaman ‘Don Juan Matus’ taught these ancient movement teachings:
1. Carlos Castaneda,
2. Florinda Donner-Grau (wife of Castaneda), Taisha Abelar and to Carol Tiggs (the ‘three witches’).
Cleargreen
Castaneda founded the organisation ‘Cleargreen’ to promote Tensegrity.
His disciple Taila Bey was president of Cleargreen.
