The Huichol's hunt for Peyote Cacti
Once a year, the Huichol Indians went on a search for Peyote Cacti in ‘Wirikuta’.
Wirikuta was an area in Mexico where the ancestors of the Huichol lived.
Many Peyote Cacti grew and grow in this area.
Wirikuta = mountainous area between the Sierra Madre Oriental and Zacatecas, near the town of Real de Catorce.
